Batavia vs Bethel - 16 Sep 2019

The teams travelled to Bethel for a pair of games on the Tigers' natural turf field.
Junior Varsity
After falling behind 2-0, the team mounted a furious comeback and the game ended in a hard-fought 2-2 tie.  Scoring goals for the Bulldogs were Cameron Kendrick and Austin Fandrey.
Varsity
In a tough game all around, the Bulldogs fell to Bethel 10-0. 

Batavia vs Clinton-Massie - 17 Sep 2019

The Varsity team made the long trip to Clarksville, Ohio to face the division-leading Falcons of Clinton-Massie.  Unfortunately, they came up a bit short and lost 4-0.
 

Batavia vs Wilmington - 24 Sep 2019

Both teams returned to action at home this evening for a pair of games against the Wilmington Hurricane.
Junior Varsity
The team came out firing on all cylinders playing tough defense and aggressive offense.  Austin Fandrey and Joben Deye scored a goal apiece to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 halftime lead.  Joben scored again in the 2nd half and Batavia cruised to a 3-2 win!!
Varsity
Unfortunately, the Bulldogs lost to Wilmington 4-0.

Batavia vs Clinton Massie - 26 Sep 2019

The Varsity team returned to action at home vs the division-leading Falcons of Clinton-Massie.  The bulldogs played an inspired game and won 3-2, handing the Falcons their first loss of the season.  Scoring goals for Batavia were Keagan Gadbury, Andrew Ruby and Noah Patel.  Jimmy Cowan was credited with assists on all 3 goals.
 

Batavia vs New Richmond - 1 Oct 2019

Both teams travelled to New Richmond to face the Lions.  
Junior Varsity 
For the 2nd game in a row, the JV team came out fired up and really took the game to the Lions.  They dominated on both offense and defense, keeping the ball on the New Richmond side of the field for most of the evening.  Jack Byrd hit the back of the net twice while Brandon Souter and Cameron Kendrick both added goals to give the Bulldogs a 4-0 victory!
Varsity 
The varsity team played a masterful game of strategy and ball control.  In an extremely rough game highlighted by multiple yellow cards and a red card on New Richmond, the Bulldogs managed to dominate the Lions, winning by a score of 3-0. Scoring goals for Batavia were Andrew Ruby, Zane Cole and Jimmy Cowan. 

Batavia vs Goshen - 3 Oct 2019

Both teams returned to action on Thursday, 3 October as they travelled to Goshen to take on the Warriors.  
Junior Varsity 
The team played a solid first half and went into the intermission tied at 0-0.  In the 2nd half, the Bulldogs allowed 4 goals and ultimately lost by a score of 4-0.
Varsity
In one of the most physical games yet, featuring MANY yellow cards and 3 red cards, the Bulldogs dominated the Warriors enroute to a 4-2 win.  Scoring goals for Batavia were Keagan Gadbury, Jimmy Cowan, Zane Cole and Andrew Ruby.  Noah Patel and Andrew Ruby also had assists.  In the past week, the Bulldogs have beaten both the 1st and 2nd place teams in their conference! 

Batavia vs Mariemont - 5 Oct 2019

The Bulldogs returned to Holman Stadium for a pair of non-conference games against the Warriors of Mariemont HS.  
Junior Varsity
The junior varsity allowed two goals in the first half to trail 2-1 at the intermission.  The defense stiffened and held the Warriors scoreless in the 2nd half.  Unfortunately, the Bulldogs lost 2-0.
Varsity
The Bulldogs fell to Mariemont 6-0. 

Batavia vs Western Brown - 8 Oct 2019

The Bulldogs returned to action on Tuesday, 8 October to face the Broncos of Western Brown.
Junior Varsity
The Bulldogs allowed two goals in the first half to trail 2-0 at the intermission.  They held the Broncos scoreless in the 2nd half and Cameron Kendrick scored a goal.  However, the team came up a bit short, losing 2-1.
Varsity
The Varsity team beat the Broncos 3-1.  Scoring for Batavia were Andrew Ruby with 2 goals and Bryan Sauter with one goal.  Wyatt Poling had an assist.

Batavia vs Reading - 10 Oct 2019

Both teams returned to action at Holman Stadium for Senior Night as they hosted the Reading High School Blue Demons in a non-conference game.
Junior Varsity
The Bulldogs played their best game of the year, dominating on both offense and defense.   Brandon Sauter scored 3 goals, Cameron Kendrick scored 2 goals and Daniel Broussard scored a goal as the team cruised to a 6-1 victory.
Varsity
Inspired by Senior Night, the team came out firing on all cylinders and never let up.  Andrew Ruby capped off the regular season by scoring four goals, while Jimmy Cowan scored 3.  Adding assists for the Bulldogs were Zane Cole with 2, Wyatt Poling, Jimmy Cowan and Andrew Ruby.  The bulldogs dominated 7-1.  Special thanks to our seniors for their leadership and their many contributions to Bulldog soccer.  You will be missed.

Batavia vs Cincinnati Country Day - 15 Oct 2019

The Varsity team travelled to Cincinnati Country Day for a playoff game on Tuesday, 15 October.  Andrew Ruby scored a goal for the bulldogs, but they came up short, losing 5-1.
 
 

End of Season

Congratulations to both the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams on a fun, successful season.  Good luck to our graduating seniors and thanks again for all of your many contributions to the program over the past 4 years.  Special thanks to all of our fans for your support this season!!
