Updating the Parent Portal

If you have not yet updated the Parent Portal for 2018-2019, please login and update your information.  It must be updated every year. If you have a number or contact change, please make sure your information is accurate.

Your contact information is pulled from the Parent Portal including One Call Now.  Please make sure your phone numbers are up to date in case of weather delays, cancellations, or if the school needs to get in touch with you regarding your child.

Students WILL NOT be permitted to attend field trips if this is not updated YEARLY.

Recess

Students will go outside if the temperature is higher than 32 degrees.  Please make sure that students bring the appropriate outerwear (coats, hats and gloves).

If students are inside for recess, students may use electronics in the ELA space with the following rules:

  • Students may not connect to the internet or use data

  • Students are only permitted to use their own device (no sharing)

  • If a student does not use their device properly, students will not be permitted to use their device during inside recess.

Attendance Matters:

Consistently attending school is an important factor in your child’s success at school.  Please join BES this year as we focus on reducing chronic absenteeism by promoting a positive atmosphere for learning and reducing barriers that prevent students from attending school on a regular basis.

We are currently 4 letters away from meeting ATTENDANCE again for our school wide dance party!  We are tracking our school attendance with a goal of 94% of our students being in school for the entire day.

When we reach 94% we earn a letter, and when we spell ATTENDANCE, we get to dance!  The dance party takes place during morning announcements.

Lunch Policy

Please remember to check your child’s lunch account via the Parent Portal.  Parents can sign up for email alerts for balances and you can also check to see when and what your child is buying.  Please review our current lunch policy for students who owe more than $5.00.
