2021 Batavia Baseball Coaching Staff

Geoff Carter: Varisty Head Coach
   
Coach Carter begins his eleventh season as the head coach of Batavia and is currently a World History teacher at the high school. After attending Miami University Hamilton where he played baseball, he graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2010. While at Batavia, Coach Carter has been part of four league championships and eight winning seasons, with an overall record of 121-72. He has been named the Southern Buckeye Conference Coach of the Year three seasons as well. In 2017, Coach Carter's team broke the school record for all time wins in a season, going 23-6. He and his wife, Cassie have two boys, Everett and Emmett. 
 
Tim Carter: Varsity Assistant  
   
Coach Carter has been part of the varsity bench for eleven seasons now. He has over 20 years of coaching experience and continues to be a staple for the success of the baseball program. Coach Carter is married with two children.
 
Greg Johnson: Varsity Pitching Coach
   
Coach Johnson begins his eighth season as the Batavia pitching coach, adding over 30 years of pitching knowledge and experience to the program. After graduating from Elder High School and winning a state championship, Coach Johnson continued his career both at the college and professional level. He and his wife have four children.
 
Joe Moorehead: Junior Varsity Head Coach
 
Coach Moorehead begins his thirdseason as the Junior Varsity head coach.  He has established a winning culture at the JV level and has been a welcomed addition to the program. A member of the Batavia High School Athletic Hall of Fame, Coach Moorehead is also a part of the Batavia Football staff. 
 
Pete Kamphaus: Junior Varsity Assistant
Coach Kamphaus begins his first season as a Junior Varsity assistant. Coach is also part of the Batavia football program coaching staff and is dedicated to the success of Batavia student-athletes.
