The Batavia Middle School NJHS food drive brought out the heart and competitive spirit that defines BMS. Overall, there were 2727 non-perishable items collected! We did have a few clear winners in the top class category, Mrs Dunkle’s class appeared to have the whole thing in the can, but along came Mr Royer’s class with 731 items bagging the win. As you can see, it took three trucks to haul all the goods which were delivered to the local YWCA battered women and children's shelter - The House of Peace. This shelter works with local Batavia families in crisis.
